Witnessing to a Mormon is like trying to climb Jell-O: it’s hard to get a foothold. The differences between the cult of Mormonism and Christianity are phenomenal when observed through the microscope of GOD’s Holy inerrant Word.
For example:
IN MORMONISM THERE ARE MANY GODS
MORMONISM’S GOD WAS ONCE A MAN
MORMONISM SAYS MAN MAY BECOME GOD
Mormonism believes in a MRS. GOD?
MORMONISM DENIES the VIRGIN BIRTH
MORMONISM’S JESUS AND SATAN ARE BROTHERS
MORMONISM’S JESUS WAS MARRIED
The differences reveal that Mormonism emanates straight out of the kingdom of the cults !
There are two important things to know before you begin evangelizing Mormons.
First, you need to understand that the Mormons’ definitions to specific terms are completely different than to that of Christianity; such as: Trinity, Jesus, Salvation, Heaven, etc.
Second, you need to show them that they believe in a distorted and different Jesus.
Faith is only has good as the object in which it is placed.
The Mormons have a false Jesus and, therefore, a useless faith.
2 Cor. 4:3-4 says, “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
Mormonism maintains that the true gospel message was lost from the earth shortly after the apostles died. The founder of Mormonism, Joseph Smith, has a tarnished past. He was into mysticism and Masonic practices, was a reader of seer stones, and was a money-digger who engaged in fortune telling. He formed a militia that was against the law. He estroyed a printing press in a building that printed material condemning his cult and burned down the building that it was in. Joseph Smith shot and killed two men with a gun he had smuggled into the jail where he was confined, before he was killed by an angry mob. Joseph Smith was a polygamist and had 48 wives.
One month before Joseph Smith was executed before an angry mob, he said of himself:
“I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.”
